Dental bridges are long term cosmetic restorations which hold a few teeth together, it bridged the gap in the mouth between natural teeth when one or more teeth are lost. A bridge consists of two or more crowns for the teeth, one on each site of the gap. These anchoring teeth are called abutment teeth and there is one or more teeth (called pontics) sit in between. The false teeth vary in composition, eg: porcelain, gold, different alloys or combination of these. Both natural teeth and implants support bridges.
